[VM] IMAP and VM labels

VM labels are not stored in IMAP mailboxes. This is a
significant drawback, as these are an important and powerful
feature (Google figured it out like a decade after VM).

Does anyone know why this is and what are the obstacles to
addressing it?

AFAIK, they do...

I use VM and Claws, and labels added in VM show up in Claws, and vice versa.

It looks like this is only an issue when one then uses the IMAP
folder as a spool. Not generally useful, only happening because of
testing, so not a real problem.
