Is anyone using BBDB 3.02 (instead of 2.36) along with VM?

I'd be interested in having a look a the corresponding configuration file as
most bbdb functions and variables have been renamed.

Thanks for your help.

I'd like to have a look at this as well - what/where is BBDB 3.02 to be found?

The whole project is to be found at

http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/bbdb.git

You can download the tarball from

http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/bbdb.git/snapshot/bbdb-master.tar.gz

Unfortunately no texinfo is available for version 3.02.

Indeed, this is a rewrite of BBDB by Roland Winkler. My belief is that it
is still undergoing development. But there are people using it. Please
try it and let us know your experiences.

A similar initiative is being conducted with Gnus (updating Gnus to work with
BBDB v3). But I've not seen any outcome yet.

Well, Roland Winkler is a VM user. So, I presume the new BBDB would be
usable with VM off the shelf. But there might be teething problems with
BBDB 3.x, and we might need things to settle down before it works
perfectly.

Cheers,
Uday
