[VM] How to launch vm without spool and imap folders only...

I want to configure vm so instead of starting by loading
vm-primary-inbox and loading vm-spool-files, instead it starts with a
designated imap folder on my imap server. Basically, I would like to
treat my inbox as being on my imap server rather than the documented
behavior of using the imap server as a spool source for local vm folders.

`vm-primary-inbox' can be an IMAP folder. But I think you will be better
off using a recent pre-release of 8.2.0 for good IMAP support.

I upgraded to the latest launchpad 8.2.0 version...

I also updated the Fedora SPEC so that it compiles Fedora rpms (a few
changes were required since the 8.1.x branch). I would be happy to share
it if anybody is interested...

That works like a charm...
Now that my primary-inbox is an IMAP folder, what do I do with the
following variables:
vm-crash-box (since I am not spooling, is there anything to crash?
so should this be set to nil or is it automatically
irrelevant)

vm-spool-files (I don't want any spooling, so I presume this should
be set to nil since my primary mail box is an IMAP folder)

These variables only have relevance for local folders and spool files. So,
when you use IMAP folders they will be ignored.

Congratulations on your successful transition to IMAP folders!

Thanks - IMAP is a true pleasure relative to all the old hacks I used to
do to read email on other machines with POP and then use all types of
hacks to review/delete emails both places.

I now have IMAP working with my droid and it's great.

I currently only have my inbox and a couple of other folders in IMAP,
the rest of my stored/archived folders I have kept local. I will see
over time which others I want to transition
